A rural music festival will bring live performances, local food and hands-on agricultural experiences to Qingfeng village in Shuangfeng town, Taicang, on Oct 31 and Nov 1.

The 2026 Suzhou Harmony in the Countryside Concert will run from 5 pm to 7 pm on both days, offering visitors a chance to enjoy music in a rural setting.

A countryside market will open from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm, featuring Taicang specialties, locally grown agricultural products and creative handicrafts. Visitors can sample regional delicacies, browse local produce and take part in cultural and creative activities.

Families with children can also join an educational program from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Using rice paddies as an outdoor classroom, the activity will guide children through the journey of rice from the fields to the dining table, helping them learn more about agriculture and food production.

Combining music, food and family-friendly activities, the event invites visitors to experience the rhythms and flavors of rural life in Suzhou.
