A Danish patient's recent experience at Loujiang New City Hospital, the Taicang Branch of Ruijin Hospital, has offered a glimpse into how improved healthcare services are making Taicang a more welcoming place for international professionals.

On Sept 7, Christian Mazanti Andersen, a specialist in project management and mechanical engineering at Gronsedt Technology Taicang, visited the hospital with four handcrafted thank-you letters in Chinese and English. He personally gave them to doctor Liu Rui and the team at the hospital's Oral Health Center.

"Your expertise and genuine care deeply moved me," Andersen wrote, saying his experience at the hospital had shown him a level of professionalism and warmth that transcended language barriers.

The previous Saturday, Andersen had developed acute apical periodontitis accompanied by a severe dental abscess, leaving him in intense pain. After administering anesthesia, the medical team performed an incision and drainage procedure and simultaneously cleared the root canal.

"It is a routine procedure for us and usually takes around 30 minutes," Liu said.

Andersen said he was impressed by the experience, noting that patients in Denmark often face long waits for treatment. He praised the hospital for its efficient care, attentive service, effective treatment and affordable costs.

His experience also highlights the growing importance of healthcare services in supporting Taicang's international business community. Gronsedt Technology established Gronsedt Technology Taicang and Newtec Machinery Manufacture Taicang in Shaxi town in 2008 and 2011, respectively, and expanded its investment and relocated to a new factory in 2024.

Wang Yu, general manager of Gronsedt Technology Taicang, said the city's business-friendly environment has been a key factor in attracting the group's investment.
