Taicang's China-Germany Industry-Education Integration Industrial Park is strengthening its role as a hub for practical engineering education.

The second Taicang German Enterprise Immersion Camp, organized by the Kaiserslautern School of Intelligent Manufacturing at Shanghai Dianji University, recently opened at the industrial park. Over the next two weeks, students will visit leading German companies in Taicang, gaining first-hand experience of industrial operations while reinforcing their classroom learning through practical training.

At the same time, students from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) are participating in a hands-on program titled What Work Looks Like: Product Machining in Practice.

At the Sino-German Taicang Training Center's machining workshop, ECUST students completed a three-day intensive course covering key manufacturing processes. The program included 5S workplace organization and visual management, bench fitting and assembly, milling and turning operations, and wire electrical discharge machining.

The China-Germany Industry-Education Integration Industrial Park operates through a shared-resource model, enabling vocational institutions and enterprises to share teaching staff, training facilities and equipment. The park is now home to 30 vocational education institutions and training centers, including those operated by KENIC, Siemens and Bosch Rexroth, with an annual training capacity of around 5,000 participants.
