Four choirs from China and Germany will come together at Taicang Grand Theatre on the evening of July 20 for a special concert featuring 14 choral works spanning different languages, cultures and musical traditions.

Headlining the performance is the Hessen State Youth Choir from Germany, an official youth arts ensemble established in 2008. Bringing together outstanding singers aged 16 to 27, the choir is renowned for its interpretations of the German-Austrian classical, Romantic and sacred choral repertoire. It regularly performs at prestigious venues including Limburg Cathedral, St. Paul's Church in Frankfurt and the Kurhaus Wiesbaden.

Joining the German ensemble are three choirs from Taicang, reflecting the city's vibrant local choral scene and long-standing cultural ties with Germany.

Beyond the performances themselves, the event highlights Taicang's role as a hub for Sino-German cultural exchange, where music serves as a universal language connecting people across borders.
