Taicang High-tech Zone has secured a significant boost with the signing of a project by GESMEX, a German hidden champion in heat exchange equipment, on March 30.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Schwerin, Germany, GESMEX specializes in the research and development, production, and sales of laser-welded plate-shell and thermal plate compact heat exchangers. Its products serve high-end process industries like chemicals, oil & gas, and renewable energy, with clients including BASF, Wacker, and Evonik.

This marks GESMEX's first production base in China and Taicang's inaugural project from Germany's Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State. The company praised Taicang's industrial cluster effect and favorable business environment, likening it to a "home away from home" for Germans.
