The event highlighted Taicang's strategic role as the "Hometown of German Enterprises" in China, with Norbert Riedel, consul general of Germany in Shanghai, praising its unparalleled position in Sino-German economic ties.

Key announcements included the 2026-28 development plan for a one-person company (OPC) using artificial intelligence, showcasing Taicang's ambition to lead in AI innovation. The city also unveiled prime industrial spaces, cultural assets and a robust investment fund system to attract high-quality projects.

Global giants Henkel and BOE joined as new investors, with government pledges to ensure seamless operations. The Taicang Investment Promotion Center (Shanghai) was launched to strengthen regional integration, serving as a gateway for Shanghai-based businesses to expand into Suzhou's manufacturing ecosystem.
