The opening ceremony of the engineering equipment producion base of Ammann Group in the Zhangjiagang Economic Development Zone was held on August 4.
Founded in 1869, the Swiss group is a global leader in operating mixing plants, with a focus on road and transportation infrastructure. The Zhangjiagang production base, with a total investment of $75 million and occupying an area of 5.3 hectares, is expected to produce 80 to 100 sets of asphalt mixing plants annually.

Hans-Christian Schneider, president of Ammann, said with the successful opening of the production base, higher-performance products will be provided to Ammann's customers and suppliers.
Cai Jianfeng, mayor of Zhangjiagang, said that the Zhangjiagang base marks a new chapter in Ammann Group's Asian growth plan and is set to infuse fresh impetus into the high-quality development of the city.
In his speech, Swiss Consul General in Shanghai Sacha Bachmann highlighted the Ammann Group's leading role in innovation, excellence, and sustainable development. He also noted the remarkable economic cooperation between Switzerland and China in the Yangtze River Delta region, with around 500 Swiss enterprises investing and operating within the area.
