With the use of smart technology, Zhangjiagang in Suzhou, Jiangsu is making great strides in its agriculture industry.

Intelligent technology is being used to improve the wheat harvest in Leyu town's Zhaxi village. Providing real-time images and videos, drones are being employed to monitor the entire process and identify any missed wheat to increase yield.

A special wheat field, covering 74.83 hectares, was constructed by Suzhou Dayu Wujiang Aviation Technology Co Ltd in March of last year, and the entire wheat-growing process is managed by drones.

According to Jing Wei, manager of the company's planting department, only two workers are needed to manage the wheat field, reducing labor requirements by 80 percent.

Intelligent technology also helps with rice seedlings. In Leyu town, farmers plant about 26.67 hectares of rice seedlings a day with two smart production lines. Mechanized rice seedling has been proven to significantly reduce the time needed while also producing higher germination rates.
