Shazhou Professional Institute of Technology in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province recently hosted the 16th Science and Technology Culture Festival and Professional Skills Competition.

Over 1,000 students participated in 31 contests spanning various fields such as architecture, textiles, intelligent manufacturing, big data, e-commerce, and art. The competition also included industry experts and engineers, who organized the events and evaluated the students.

In the electronic product manufacturing competition, students formed two-person teams to design and assemble automatic temperature alarms. They needed to use their knowledge of analog circuits and sensors to complete tasks such as component identification and testing, soldering, assembly, and debugging. This hands-on experience fostered both technological innovation and teamwork among the students.

In the e-commerce live streaming competition, students were required to choose a local product and conduct live streaming sales presentations. Exceptional participants will be recommended for internships and employment opportunities with live-streaming e-commerce companies in the Zhangjiagang E-commerce Industrial Park.

Zhang Feng, director of the academic affairs office at the vocational school, said that the competition was expected to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning and practicing technical skills as well as enhance their abilities.
