Fenghuang town in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, hosted a temple fair from May 11 to 15.

The event featured six areas for visitors, including special food, intangible cultural heritage, tourist interaction, and cultural tourism. Visitors could also participate in traditional folk activities such as watching pyrography, listening to folk songs, and solving riddles.

"The event was a huge success on its first day, attracting up to 20,000 visitors," said Zheng Ye, president of Fenghuang Culture and Tourism Development Co Ltd.

In recent years, Fenghuang town has hosted a variety of events, such as a peach blossom festival, fruit picking festival, dragon boat race and football match.

"In the future, Fenghuang town will continue to organize events to promote consumption," said Huang Bowen, a Party official of Fenghuang.
