The sketch exhibition, which is running from March 28 to May 4, is a solo showcase of works by Wang Jian, a member of the China Artists Association. More than 80 works of Wang, selected from thousands of copies that the artist has created in the past decade in many different countries including Turkey, Egypt, Spain, and Croatia, are being featured in the exhibition.
The print exhibition, held from March 28 to April 23, features works of about 20 artists who were born in the 1980s.
According to Zhou Jingxin, vice-chairman of the China Artists Association and chairman of the Jiangsu Artists Association, printmaking is one of Jiangsu artists' strengths and many young printmakers from Jiangsu have been emerging in recent times. This exhibition also showcases advanced concepts in contemporary printmaking, added Zhou.
