The 2023 leisure agriculture promotion event organized by the Jiangsu provincial departments of agriculture and rural affairs and culture and tourism, as well as the Suzhou government was held in Zhangjiagang on March 31.

Thirteen rural travel routes themed around flower viewing, water activities and family outings were released during the event.

The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs plans to build 30 demonstration areas for leisure agriculture, which is a new agricultural production and management mode with characteristics of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, in the next three years.

Cities in Jiangsu will make full use of their unique resources to promote local agricultural specialties and rural tourism.
