Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in Shanghai and Jiangsu Guotai International Group in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province held a signing ceremony on March 21 to establish a joint research and development center for new energy and new materials.
The two parties will deepen their collaboration in areas such as scientific research cooperation, talent cultivation, construction of key laboratories, and technology transfers.
Zhang Ansheng, vice-principal of SJTU, said that the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at SJTU has developed rapidly in recent years and has an edge in many disciplines, particularly in new energy and new materials.
Guotai Group is a large enterprise engaged in supply chain services and the chemical new energy industry. Its business integrates research, design, production, and financial investments. Its listed subsidiary, Ruitech New Materials, is involved in the research, production, and sale of chemical new materials such as lithium-ion batteries and organic silicon.
