The public security bureau of Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently introduced seven measures to improve its exit and entry administration services.

1. Foreigners can now apply for work and residence permits at a single location instead of having to visit different government departments. All applications will be handled within seven working days.

2. The Zhangjiagang public security bureau will visit associations of foreign investors, foreign enterprises, and foreign high-level talents to learn about their needs and allow them to make reservations via phone (+86-512-58673201). The bureau will also explain policies related to permanent residency to the spouses and children of high-level foreign talents.

3. The bureau will enhance international law enforcement cooperation to offer free legal services and convenient exit and entry services to overseas Chinese enterprises.

4. The bureau will deal with residence permit applications of foreigners who are employed by companies and already have work permits but no work visas.

5. An exit and entry administration will be established in the Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone and 12 exit and entry offices will be set up in 12 police stations.

6. A smart online self-service platform will be launched to improve work efficiency.

7. Enterprises and individuals who need to go abroad urgently will be able to access required services through green channels even during the holidays.
