The inauguration of a new hydrogen energy technology innovation center in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province was held on Oct 23, local media reported.

With the establishment of the center, Zhangjiagang is now the first county-level city that is equipped with a provincial-level technology innovation center in Jiangsu.

Zhangjiagang has in recent years welcomed more than 30 hydrogen energy enterprises that are part of an industry cluster worth more than 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion).

The center will help the city to attract talents and introduce more investment and projects in this field.

The ceremony also witnessed the signing of six key innovation projects in the hydrogen energy industry totaling 120 million yuan in investments.
