A special exhibition themed on Zheng He's voyages is currently underway at the Zhangjiagang Museum, East China's Jiangsu province, local media reported.
The exhibition features shipbuilding tools and component parts of ships excavated from the Site of The Treasure Boat Factory in Nanjing and 127 cultural relics from the imperial Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) .
The event aims to present Zheng He's voyages and social and cultural exchanges at the height of the Ming Dynasty.
The event, which will run until the end of October, is a part of the 2022 traveling exhibition of fine collections in Jiangsu. Zhangjiagang is the first stop in the tour.
Zheng He (1371-1435), a navigator during the Ming Dynasty, made voyages to the "Western Seas", crossing the Indian ocean to reach east Africa.
