A signing ceremony for 15 high-tech projects was held in Daxin town, Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Sept 24.

Representing a combined investment of 3.18 billion yuan ($456.95 million), the projects are related to industries including new green materials, high-end intelligent equipment, and medical equipment.

Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, said the projects will help Daxin achieve innovation-driven high-quality development. He added that the city government will create a favorable environment to support the construction of these projects.

A number of research and development institutions, including an R&D center for water-resistant and breathable membrane, were also unveiled during the ceremony.
