A launch ceremony for 10 travel routes in the Yangtze River basin will be held in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on Aug 28.

A group of media and key opinion leaders (KOLs) will be invited to go on scouting trips in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River that same day. They will visit major scenic spots and cultural venues in the region to learn about the local food, customs and intangible cultural heritage.

The two activities are part of the 2022 Yangtze River Culture Festival, an annual event held by Zhangjiagang to promote cultural and tourism resources along the river.
