China Media Group announced on Aug 12 that it will record the 2022 Mid-Autumn Festival Gala in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.

Leveraging cutting-edge visual and audio technologies such as 4K/8K transmission and three-dimensional audio, the gala will feature a variety of performances, including symphony, rap, dances, operas, and comedies.

The gala will be broadcast at 8:00 pm on Sept 10, the day of the traditional Chinese festival, on a number of platforms, including Channel 1, 3 and 4 of China Central Television, China National Radio-9, and cctv.com.

The show will also be simulcast on about 200 ultrahigh definition public screens in more than 50 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing, for the first time.
