​Zhangjiagang promotes culture, tourism resources at CITM

Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province attended the China International Travel Mart (CITM) in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province from July 22 to 24 to promote its culture and tourism resources and seek cooperation opportunities.


Brochures about the culture and tourist attractions in Zhangjiagang and the creative gifts offered by the city's booth proved popular among visitors at the fair.


Staff members of the Zhangjiagang bureau of culture, sport, radio, television and tourism also presented the city's intangible cultural heritages, including Houcheng bamboo handicrafts, Heyang pyrography, Shazhou paper cutting, and tiger-head shoes.


Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, CITM is the largest travel fair in the Asia Pacific. This year's event has an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters and features about 4,200 booths in eight halls. Exhibitors from 71 countries and regions participated in the fair.
