The China Zhangjiagang Entrepreneurship Park for Returned Students in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province opened on July 11.
The park has seven sections, including a reproduction base, an accelerator, a nanometer technology industrial park and a software and animation industry park, which occupy about 740,000 square meters of floor area. It is also equipped with public technical services platforms related to industries such as biomedicine, reproduction and intelligent manufacturing.
Other institutions in the park, including the ZK Nanotech Zhangjiagang Institute of Compound Semiconductors, the Zhangjiagang Integrated Circuit Industry Promotion Center, and the Suzhou Hydrogen Energy Industry Innovation Center, will provide strong support in terms of research and development to companies.
The park, built by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, was formerly a local park established in 2001. With its favorable policies and business environment, it has been home to one third of "little giants", companies owned by leading talents and those that are listed on the New Third Board in Zhangjiagang. The park also has four companies valued at over 1 billion yuan ($148.77 million) and 30 companies valued at over 100 million yuan.
The entrepreneurship park is currently focused on attracting high-level returnees and developing high-tech industries.
