Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently held a dialogue with senior executives of multinational companies (MNCs) in the city.

During the activity, Zhangjiagang government officials and representatives from more than 20 companies, including Dow, Honeywell, ZF, and Jatco, first visited several exhibitions, construction sites, cultural parks, and the Zhangjiagang section of the Yangtze River to learn about the city's latest economic, cultural and ecological development.

At a meeting held following their visits, officials from the bureaus of commerce and taxation and the Zhangjiagang Customs gave presentations about a raft of favorable policies related to headquarters economy, foreign investment, taxation, as well as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement.

Weng Yuren, vice-mayor of Zhangjiagang, said MNCs have played a crucial role in the city's high-quality development. He hopes they can increase investment and introduce good projects in Zhangjiagang, improve innovation, and expand cooperation with local partners on advanced manufacturing and research and development.

Participants in the activity also discussed how to improve the business environment in Zhangjiagang.
