Fenghuang town attracts new high-tech projects

A signing ceremony for several high-tech projects was held in Fenghuang town, Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on May 22.
The projects have over 4 billion yuan ($600.03 billion) in investment and are related to multiple sectors, including new materials, high-end equipment, semiconductor and biomedicine.
A groundbreaking ceremony for an intelligent manufacturing industrial park developed by Yinkun Group was held that same day. The park spans 43.23 mu (2.88 hectares) and will house semiconductor and high-end equipment manufacturing industries.
Activity centers for the Suzhou alumni association of Nanjing University and the Zhangjiagang Jiangsu alumni association of the Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA Program, and a sci-tech innovation service center for Zhangjiagang alumni of Nanjing University were also unveiled at the ceremony.
Cai Jianfeng, mayor of Zhangjiagang, said that the projects are expected to generate strong momentum for the city's high-quality growth. He added that he hopes alumni of Nanjing University and the Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA Program can use their resources and personal connections to attract more investors and projects to Zhangjiagang.
Fenghuang town released 15 favorable policies aimed at attracting high-tech projects during the event.
