Zhangjiagang primary school offers online natural environment class

To celebrate 53rd Earth Day, which falls on April 22, the Zhangjiagang Foreign Language School in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province held an online class on the natural environment on April 20.
Wang Yuhuan, a guidance counselor at the primary school that conducted the class, said the class taught students about the Earth and the importance of protecting the environment. Before the class, pupils made drawings and posters and recorded songs themed on the occasion.
The online class, designed by the bureau of natural resources of Tangqiao town, includes materials related to mineral resource management, forestry and safety administration of natural resources sector, said Chen Jie, an official at the bureau.
The Zhangjiagang bureau of natural resources and planning, another organizer of the activity, will cooperate with more schools to teach students about nature, the value of natural resources, and the importance of protecting the Earth.
