Two Zhangjiagang residents listed as provincial 'good people'

Two residents in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province were recently included on a provincial monthly list of "good people".
Zhang Huachun is a 35-year-old villager in the city's Nanfeng town. She spent all her family savings and borrowed nearly 400,000 yuan ($63,089) on treatment for her husband, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2014.
Since her husband passed away in 2017, Zhang has been working relentlessly to support her family and finally paid off her debts in December 2021.
Pan Yanzhen, 38 years old, is the director of the welding training center of Jiangsu Sunco Boiler Co. Since 2003 when he became an apprentice welder, Pan has received certifications from authorities in China, the United States, and the European Union, and has become a chief technician. He has trained more than 200 welders for the company.
