The Zhangjiagang High-tech Development Zone in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province held a signing ceremony for 18 projects on Jan 12.
The projects are engaged in a number of emerging industries, including digital economy, high-end equipment, and new energy, local media outlets reported.
Han Wei, Party chief of Zhangjiagang, said in his speech that the government will continue to improve its management system to facilitate the construction of these projects. He also said he hoped the projects would start operating as soon as possible and more institutions and talent would open businesses in the city.
The development zone also issued 20 measures to attract high-tech projects that same day. By the end of 2025, it aims to bring in 1,000 high-tech projects and have 200 national-level high-tech companies and more than 30 companies with more than 100 million yuan ($15.72 million) in output.
