Two new farmers' markets recently opened for business in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.
The Neighbor Market spans an area of 2,500 square meters and has more than 70 stands. It is expected to meet local's needs in terms of farm produce.
The market is equipped with a mothers' room, a testing room that spot-checks products in the market every day to ensure food safety, and other facilities to improve the shopping experience for customers.
The Xieqiao Farmers' market that opened on Jan 5 has 54 stands and a number of sections for different products, such as eggs, seafood, meat, vegetables, and aquatic products.
