A forum focusing on the culture and tourism of the Yangtze River was held online on Dec 15 as part of the China (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival.

Academics, government officials and business representatives were invited to give speeches and offer suggestions on the integrated development of culture and tourism in the Yangtze River Delta, as well as the protection and development of digital culture.

During the forum, it was announced that the digital resource library of Yangtze River cultural tourism would be established in Zhangjiagang. It is expected to promote the digital development of culture and tourism in the Yangtze River Basin and expand the influence of its achievements.

In recent years, Zhangjiagang has promoted economic cooperation and cultural exchange among cities in the Yangtze River Delta by taking the advantage of the China (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival, which has contributed to the high-quality development of its cultural industries.

To accelerate the establishment of a high-quality development system for cultural and tourism integration, Zhangjiagang has invested nearly 10 billion yuan ($15.6 billion) into its cultural industry projects and has promoted the construction of tourist attractions based around Yangtze River culture.
