The opening show of the 7th International Humor Art Festival was live broadcast at the Zhangjiagang Poly Grand Theater in Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province, on Dec 11.
It was the first time the festival had been held online, and over 4.11 million people watched the performances through online platforms.
The International Humor Art Festival has helped enhance cultural exchanges with other countries, promoting traditional Chinese culture and improving the spirituality of host cities.
Featuring Chinese folk art, humor and culture of the Yangtze River Basin, this year's festival featured famous foreign artists from the United States, Germany, France, Poland, and Japan to give creative performances and play humorous classical music.
