The 120,000 books donated by Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province have arrived at Shazhou Experimental School in Gongliu county, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, local media reported on Nov 23.

Since Zhangjiagang established a pairing-assistance relationship with Gongliu county, the city has provided assistance in the construction of Gongliu High School, Gongliu Zhangjiagang Experimental School as well as Gongliu Secondary Elementary school in the county.

The sorting of the books from Zhangjiagang is taking place and will take around 20 days to complete. The reading room, which will soon be opened, is able to accommodate 50 students.
