Jiangsu Shagang Group in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province was awarded as one of Forbes China's top 10 industrial digital transformation enterprises in 2021 for its achievements in intelligent reform and digital transformation at the 2021 Forbes China Industrial Internet Selection, local media reported on Nov 15.

The top 10 industrial digital transformation enterprises were selected based on whether their digital technologies have brought positive changes to traditional companies and offered solutions to common problems in the industry, as well as whether these digital technologies have created economic and social benefits.

Forbes China praised Shagang Group's digital transformations as having referential value for the industry.

Shagang Group uses its industrial internet platform to collect data concerning its various businesses, which helps improve the quality and efficiency of the group's steelmaking process, as well as reduces carbon emissions in the manufacturing process.
