A 12-year-old mutton restaurant located in Leyu town, Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province has been attracting local residents these days as the temperature keeps dropping.

The mutton restaurant opens from the 7th lunar month to the 27th day of the 12th lunar month, which is the best time to savor mutton dishes.

The goats in the restaurant are all transported from northern Jiangsu and they have a longer breeding time, producing more tender mutton.

The following are some recommended mutton dishes at this restaurant:

Mutton soup

The mutton soup is simmered for a long time, which makes the mutton taste soft and brings out its delicious flavor. Diners enjoy the bowl of mutton soup as a way to drive away the chills and warm up their bodies.

Stewed mutton with brown sauce is very popular at this restaurant. The meat tastes fat but not greasy and the dish is recommended to eat with rice.

Stir-fried goat liver

Different from pork liver's rough taste, goat liver tastes tenderer, with the restaurant's stir-fried goat liver with onions dish removing the smell of mutton and adding a sweet flavor.
