The collaborative chest pain alliance established by Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu province has reduced the average interventional operation time for patients with acute myocardial infarction from 74.7 minutes to 58.4 minutes, saving more time for rescue.

The best rescue time for AMI is within 2 hours. With the increased rescue time, the ratio of AMI patients receiving reperfusion therapy improved from 79.4 percent to 93 percent, 8.6 percentage points higher than the national average.

To better treat AMI patients, Zhangjiagang established the alliance in 2019.

With qualified hospitals, real-time shared information, as well as 24-hour specialists on duty, the alliance's service is available to all residents in the city.

In 2020, the alliance offered consultations to 2,126 patients and performed 172 emergency operations, a 286 percent increase than before the establishment of the alliance. The success rate of emergency operations was 99.4 percent.
