Han's Laser Technology Industry Group Co Ltd has made a commitment to develop an East China headquarters and production base in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

The news was released at a signing ceremony between representatives of the company and Suzhou government.

Han's Laser is one of the largest manufacturers of industrial lasers in the world. Its products are widely used in the aerospace, shipbuilding, rail, new energy, precision equipment and consumer electronics industries.

Located in Zhangjiagang free trade zone, its East China headquarters and production base is expected to be constructed into a world-class laser manufacturing center, which will be used to produce high-powered laser equipment, new energy equipment, display equipment, semiconductors and other equipment.

Construction work will start in 2022 and be completed in five years. 

The production capacity of the new facility will represent 60 to 70 percent of the company's total, and it is expected to alleviate the demand for upgraded intelligent manufacturing equipment in China, especially the demand for intelligent equipment to produce new energy batteries.
