An event called "Colorful Shazhou at Nighttime" has been unveiled in Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province to boost the nighttime economy, local media reported on Sep 14.

Nighttime economy refers to the service industry economic activities that operate from 6 pm to 2 am. The development of the nighttime economy is a powerful measure to explore consumption potential and upgrade consumption.

Eight themed activities covering food, night scene, performances, sports, shopping, accommodation, entertainments and reading will be held during the event.

For example, Shuangshan Island has presented special offers for night golf and provided customers with various leisure and entertainment activities. Zhangjiagang residents are encouraged to take short trips to Zhangjiagang Shuangshan Island Hantian Golf Resort and other popular homestays in the city.

Warm-up deals for the second Double Twelve Shopping Festival in Zhangjiagang have also been launched.

Taking place from September 2021 to February 2022, this year's Double Twelve Shopping Festival will last for six months and feature more activities and businesses than the first edition.
