Zhangjiagang city holds ceremony for 73 projects

Zhangjiagang – a county-level city administered by Suzhou, located in East China's Jiangsu province – held a ceremony on Aug 25, for 73 projects which had started or completed construction.

The 73 projects – which involved total investment of 56.7 billion yuan ($8.7 billion) – included 45 that have broken ground and another 28 that have completed construction. They are in the fields of intelligent equipment, new materials, the digital economy and public welfare.

At the event, a groundbreaking ceremony for a new energy materials project being developed by Zhangjiagang-based Jiangsu HSC New Energy Materials Co Ltd was held.
Founded in 1997, the company is a high-tech enterprise focusing on the research and development, production and sales of electrolyte additives for lithium batteries. It has obtained 53 patents and reportedly has a complete technological innovation supply chain.
The new project, with a total investment of 900 million yuan, is on a site covering 152.7 mu (10.18 hectares). It is located in the Jiangsu Yangzijiang International Chemical Industrial Park.
