Every June or July, the skin of Fenghuang honey peaches turns red, and this means they're ready to be eaten. As well as being delicious eaten raw, they can be made into treats such as smoothies, ice cream or juice.

Known as the best honey peaches in Suzhou, Fenghuang honey peaches have been planted in Zhangjiagang for more than 100 years, and Fenghuang town was considered as one of the earliest peach planting areas in southern Jiangsu. The peaches are famous for having been used as an imperial tribute since ancient times.

Featuring flat terrain, fertile soil, mild weather and abundant water and sunshine, Fenghuang town is an ideal place for growing honey peaches. The peaches are popular for their sweet and juicy taste, as well as their pleasant fragrance.

In recent years, the peach industry in the town has provided a significant boost to local agriculture and tourism. Visitors from nearby cities like Suzhou and Shanghai are attracted by the famous Fenghuang honey peaches every harvest season, which has brought a new way for farmers to increase their income and revitalize rural development.
