The Jiangsu Entertainment and Cultural Product Exhibition was held from June 26 to 28 in Yangzhou, in East China's Jiangsu province, as an activity of the Yangzhou International Horticultural Exposition 2021. Pieces of china from Zhangjiagang's Suzhou Jiangnan Farming Cultural Park were sent to the exhibition and won the first prize for creativity.
The three-day exhibition was held by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Yangzhou municipal government.
The china was made by the Yongci Workshop in the cultural park, which occupies a construction area of nearly 4,000 square meters and features hand-made ceramics, calligraphic works and traditional Chinese paintings.
The earthenware products made by the workshop are glazed by being cooked for 72 consecutive hours in a fire that reaches 1,300 C. The fire is special, as it is fueled by pine and camphor wood. The high-temperature fire leaves natural and distinct marks on the earthenware, making every one of them unique.
