The Zhangjiagang tourism thematic exhibition opened at Shanghai Hongqiao railway station on May 26, according to the local media.
The exhibition fully showcased the new look of Zhangjiagang's tourism brand, helping the city to become a tourist destination in the Yangtze River Delta region and to become a national-level tourism demonstration zone.
The exhibition showcased Zhangjiagang's city image, geographical advantages, red culture, and other characteristics in three sections, as well as detailed the city's culture from multiple angles.
"I came to Shanghai on a business trip and I felt it was quite novel to see such an exhibition," said Ms. Yin from Taizhou. The exhibition gave her a basic understanding of Zhangjiagang, and she added that she is now interested in trying the city's delicious food.
The exhibition will last until the beginning of August. In addition to introducing the city through pictures, videos, and interactive screens, there will also be a number of exquisite exhibits of Zhangjiagang's intangible cultural heritages and several of its famous high-quality products.
"During the exhibition period, a series of interactive games and activities will be launched to attract tourists in the station, and enable them to better understand Zhangjiagang," said Kong Peng, deputy director of the tourism advisory service center of the Zhangjiagang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
