Zhangjiagang launches 103 projects worth 55.57b yuan

Zhangjiagang in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, launched 74 new projects with a combined investment of 46 billion yuan ($7.11 billion), and completed 29 projects worth 9.53 billion yuan on Jan 23. The projects involved advanced manufacturing, modern services, infrastructure, major livelihood, and more.
Xinyi Solar Group, a world leading solar glass manufacturer, launched a new project valued at 5.6 billion yuan, which is expected to produce 230 million square meters of solar panels annually and generate 6.5 billion yuan in annual sales.
The new project will make use of automatic production lines, which benefit from low energy consumption, low emissions, and high efficiency, and contain technologies important to solar energy equipment manufacturing.
Pan Guoqiang, Party secretary of the city, said that Zhangjiagang will continue to make breakthroughs in the development of key projects this year, and will pursue high-quality development.
Pan added that the city will seize upon the country's major strategic opportunities and accelerate its integration with the rapid development of the Yangtze River Delta. Efforts will also be made to accelerate innovative development and improve its business environment, aiming to build a dynamic and modern economic system.
