Leaf carving is a new type of art that has sprung up in recent years.

It usually takes about 10 days to turn natural leaves into works of art, and the process involves finding leaves, cleaning and soaking them, drawing on them, and carving and drying them.

Many artists have carved vivid pictures on leaves, which can last for decades.

Zhang Yan, a resident of Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, learned the Chinese art form four years ago and is now a leaf-carving master.
