Digital economy surges in Zhangjiagang

The port city of Zhangjiagang in East China's Jiangsu province has made considerable progress in developing its digital economy, according to a local news report on Oct 19.
The city has fostered a number of high-quality projects related to digital economy in recent years as it seeks to boost digital economy-related R&D (research and development) and commercialization.
Jiangsu Epoint Software Company announced that it will invest 3 billion yuan ($451.2 million) to build a base in Zhangjiagang, which will focus on the R&D of government services and digital products.
An industrial cloud base built by Tencent Cloud was put into operation in Zhangjiagang this June. The base will help Zhangjiagang upgrade and optimize its industrial structure and promote the development of the city's industrial internet.
Beijing eHualu Information Technology Company joined hands with the Zhangjiagang government to build a "Data Lake", which will play a leading role in the city's economic transformation.
In order to promote the digital transformation of the city, Zhangjiagang is focusing on the integration of the manufacturing industry with the internet, and has made great efforts to promote the development of industrial internet.
