Zhangjiagang sees tourism recovery during holiday

The port city of Zhangjiagang in East China's Jiangsu province received more than 230,000 tourists during the National Day holiday from October 1 to 8, generating 1.95 million yuan ($289,301) in ticket proceeds.
Visitors spoke highly of Zhangjiagang's well-preserved natural environment and stunning scenery, which are a result of the city's efforts to improve its tourism facilities and enrich its tourism resources.
A resident surnamed Zhang said that Zhangjiagang boasts many tourist attractions, including Xiangshan Mountain, Jiyang Lake, and Zhangjiagang Bay, all of which are worth a visit.
The Huangsipu Ecological Park, the largest of its kind in Zhangjiagang, received a large number of visitors during the holiday. It offers scenic autumn views and recreational activities such as hiking.
The Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge, which began operating on July 1, also proved popular among visitors.
