The county-level city Zhangjiagang in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, cooperated with e-commerce giant JD to launch online and offline shops to promote the popularity of the city's middle and small-sized e-commerce enterprises, local media reported June 19.
The offline platform gathers together famous and characteristic local products from more than 40 firms, as well as high-quality agricultural products from Yanhe Tujia autonomous county, Guizhou province.
The online shop is designed to play an active role in promoting the city's offline sales, and will hold a range of events, including livestreaming activities. The shop will be upgraded into a gathering place for displaying Zhangjiagang's featured products and tourism attractions.
Operated by JD's professional team, the online and offline shops will be new platforms for Zhangjiagang to promote the fast development of local brands and middle and small-sized e-commerce enterprises.
The offline experience shop aims to introduce local specialty products through online promotion, online and offline marketing, and livestreaming sales, in order to expand the influence of local characteristic products and boost e-commerce in rural areas.
