Modern drama performances shine in port city

A total of 12 small theater items in nine creative art forms covering hilarious drama, music drama, children's drama and black comedy are staged in Zhangjiagang from Nov 3 to 17, attracts many audience attention.

The large-scaled burlesque, Aiyo Father, is performed by artists from Shanghai Farce Troupe.

It tells the story of two elderly people who live alone and try using various ideas to make their busy children to come home and company them.

The perform combines various dialects including Shanghai dialect and Cantonese which help audience experience diversifies Chinese language culture.
