Zhangjiagang hosted a ground-breaking ceremony for 54 projects with a total investment of 31.3 billion yuan ($4.9 billion) on Oct 16. Meanwhile, a total of 35 projects, worth 10.43 billion yuan were announced to be completed.

Accordingly, a total of 113 projects were completed or started construction in the first half of this year, mainly covering emerging industries including new material, new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing. The upgrading projects from local enterprises were highlighted, accounts for one third of the total.
