Zhangjiagang, port city in East China’s Jiangsu province announced to join hands with Chinese tech giant Huawei to build a smart city center on Sept 19.

It will be the world’s first smart city application innovation center jointly established by Huaiwei and local governments.

Accordingly, the two sides will give full play to their advantages and strengthen all-round cooperation.

In recent years, Zhangjiagang made great efforts in promoting intelligent city construction and have made significant achievements. The city’s "internet plus government services" system is improving.

Zhangjiagang boasts great potential in developing information and communication technology industry and will applied the technologies to government affairs, public transportation services and marketing, relied on smart technologies of Huawei.

Four smart application centers will also be launched in the future with the support of Huawei.

By building the center, Zhangjiagang will be developed into a digital, information-based and intelligent construction demonstration area for Jiangsu province.
