Zhangjiagang hosts intl advanced semiconductor innovation competition

The 2019 International Advanced Semiconductor Innovation Competition (ASIC) Yangtze River Delta Division came to an end in Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 6.

Since launched, this year's contest has attracted nearly 70 projects from 18 cities and regions across China, covering fields of the third-generation semiconductor chips, compound semiconductors, solar photovoltaic, intelligent manufacturing, internet of things and new-generation information technology

Experts, business executives and investors from related fields were also invited to make assessment for the entries and a total of 15 items were qualified for the finals.

Jointly hosted by China Advanced Semiconductor Industry Innovation Alliance and Zhangjiagang government, the 2019 IASIC Yangtze River Delta Division was designed to provide a platform for enthusiasts to exchange innovative experience in semiconductor.

A total of 6 projects stood out and won the first, second and third prizes and gained corresponding rewards.

Lu Chongmin, deputy mayor of Zhangjiagang, attended the awarding ceremony and said the city is longing for more innovative talents.

Zhangjiagang boasts rich resources in semiconductor industry. The competition will help the port city attract more talents and projects in the fields and further promote its high-quality development.
