Changyinsha Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park in Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province is striving to bring about rural revitalization through green development and tourism.

Shen Guofang, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, visited Changyinsha in April and urged the park to give full play to its natural resource advantages to boost rural tourism and further promote local economic development.

"We are actively promoting all-for-one tourism. We hope to make it a pillar of the economy," said Chen Xueming, Party secretary of the park.

All-for-one tourism refers to the development of a tourism destination through the integration of resources, inextricably linking tourism to sectors such as ecological protection, culture and sports.

The park is ramping up efforts to promote the development of recreational tourism. A tourism project combining Yangtze River resources, ecological environment and local culture is to be developed with an investment of 150 million yuan ($22.3 million).

The tourist spot has built characteristic vacation homestays covering a total area of 6,400 square meters and is expected to begin receiving visitors over the National Day holiday.

The area also plans to organize various festive activities throughout the different seasons, such as a cola flowers festival in spring, picking-up festival in summer and leisure festival in autumn.

"We will promote the development of early childhood education and rural forums in order to develop the park into a famous rural tourism destination integrating education, cultural creation and recreation," Chen added.
