An artistic creation base was unveiled on Aug 16 in Zhangjiagang's Fenghuang town of East China's Jiangsu province in a bid to promote local tourism resources and folk culture.

Some composers, lyricists and arrangers visited Heyang Folk Song Museum, Tianzhuang Old Street and a peach garden to experience local folk customs and prepare for further creative work. They also signed an agreement with the local government to produce local songs.

It is hoped that through the activity artists will continue to create distinguished works featuring local customs.
